Novel study!

 Hello

Past couple of weeks we have been trying to complete these novel slides and putting out reading task on them. Our goal this weeks was Use knowledge from text to combine with new ideas (own and others) to come up with new thinking & think while reading, pick up new information, and come up with new ideas and new thinking.

For one of our create task we had to write down some of the charters in you book that you were reading and write a description of the charter and the actions that they show in the book.

Here is some of my task (I'm not quite finished yet)

Maths week 8 term 4

Hi welcome to my math blog. 

This weeks goal for math was solve problems with fractions,decimals proportions and ratios using broad range of strategies. Our create task was to answer these questions that was on a doc, the questions were like 

"The following statistic shows that only 65% of primary schools around the world have basic hand washing facilities for COVID-19 prevention. If we applied this statistic to 240 schools, how many would have access to basic hand washing facilities?"

We had to answer couple of the questions like them and then there was a money one that were optional to answer like

"If I am living on $1.90 a day, how much money will I have in 10 days?"

Could you work these questions out? if you could what strategy would you use?

Today we had to create another infographic, a inforgraphic is a infographic of data and a chart and diagram.

We had to pick what goal we were going to do about out of Zero hunger, health and well-being, education and poverty, I chose health and well being.

This weeks reading we had to summarize our thinking of the book you are reading, I am reading holes. There was a template we had to fill in that had questions like describe the text, describe the text, what does this make you think about and lastly a short text of the summary. We had to make the template nice and make it more of a DLO (digital learning) here is my DLO:

How can we be a good math mate?

Hello.

This weeks for math everyone in my hub had to write about "how could we be a good math mate". Here is some of the ideas I thought is a good math mate. 

Being a great math mate is collaborating together and thinking of different ways to answer a question and helping out. Another way of being a great math mate is communicating with each other like if you come with a disagreement you could say “i don't agree because..” instead of shouting at each other or something like. Lastly helping the person that is struggling and giving them a hand if their stuck.

What do you think being a good math mate is?
